The Formula 1000 was designed to be our entry level race car with motorsport beginners in mind. Unlike our other products it is sold in two different kit formats alongside a turn key option. The ethos of Aquila is to provide affordable racing options and the Formula 1000 is our greatest accomplishment working towards that ethos to date.

We have carried over the simple component concept from other models to bring down the cost of running an Aquila Formula 1000 even further. The design of the bodywork, running gear and suspension are simplified to be affordable and reduce the amount of spares teams need to carry. The bodywork is broken down into sections that can easily be replaced, therefore it is possible to have an ‘off’ and then just replace the damaged corner and not half the bodywork.

The Formula 1000’s very low weight of just 380 kilos makes the car very fun to drive and perfect for rookie drivers looking to move into driving a true race car. Being mid engined with an aluminium monocoque that is complimented by an FIA-specification roll over hoop the Formula 1000’s double wishbone suspension, Intrax dampers, Wilwood brakes and slicks really do complement the car on track.
