The first Aquila CR1's to cross the Atlantic have now
entered production, a three car order was placed at the end of a
successful year for Aquila racing cars. All three cars will be
powered by the popular 7.0 GM LS7 V8 engine developing a lap record
setting 550hp each, with all three cars boasting an impressive
specification and custom colour schemes they will certainly alert
the rest of the world to the quality of Scandinavian race car
production.
The cars will travel to the U.S.A and will be used for
recreation and raced competitively. The buyers of
these first three cars that will cross the Atlantic are Nicolas
Juncadella (aged 55) and Alberto Dominguez Riveiro (aged 57), both
Argentinean, retired and lifetime car enthusiasts.
Although for training and track days the new owners already have
an impressive selection of cars available to them! Alberto race his
Radical SR5, a Porsche GT3 and also owns a
Formula 3, Nicolás drives another Radical SR5 , a Porsche GT3
RS and a Ferrari Challenge 430.Nicolás is also an important Ferrari
collector in the USA, owning several vehicles such as a two-seater
Ferrari F330 a F310( Formula 1 of 1996), a 430 Scuderia adding to
this impressive list the garage doors continue to stretch with an
F40, an Enzo, the new California, 599 GTO and the 458 Italia, and
the list goes on…. The two new proud Aquila owners also intend to
compete in distance events with the CR1's.

General Manager of Aquila racing cars Dan Suenson said "I am
delighted to start the production of the first cross Atlantic
CR1's, we get interest from the U.S all the time and it was just a
matter of time before the first cars were ordered. I'm excited to
see the cars racing across there, we know they are quick and we
have shown in recent months the CR1 LS7 can take on the some of the
best in Europe and perform well with outstanding results, so now is
a fitting time for the CR1 to stretch its legs over
there."
With interest coming from across the globe on an almost a
daily basis and with a number of cars already well into production,
the European close season is going to be a busy one for the
production team at Aquila racing cars. However the question is
still to be asked. What will you race in the 2011
season?
