An update from
Aquila...
2011 was a busy year for us here at
Aquila, the CR1 had its most successful year to date, becoming
Danish champion under the piloting of Claus Christensen and being
24hour approved by Wessex vehicles from the UK in the Britcar
24hour at Silverstone. A number of lap records were set in across
Europe as well as a handful of top speed records, and It does not
stop there. 2011 saw the first cars delivered across the Atlantic,
and the introduction to South American, German and also our first
U.S Aquila agents.
We also have many new friends across the world! Every day we
receive Emails complimenting the cars and asking all sorts of
questions about the company "The small Danish car manufacturer."
But every now and then we get some very interesting emails, one
such Email was sent by the Winner of our spring competition Dane
Child, owner of Armageddon Designs in Australia. The Email included
a fantastic livery design with our Aquila logos and colours
displayed perfectly! A design that stated the car is here to race,
take on the best and also be a proud flag for our company's image.
If you follow us on Facebook you can see pictures of this car
beautifully captured by Thomas Nielsen. Armageddon designs are
online with Facebook for everyone to see. Dane is one of many
talented individuals that have contacted us in the last year and we
enjoy reading each Email we receive.
So now with our pride and joy the "Aquila CR1" officially
becoming the face of Aquila in 2010, we are proud to offer 4 years
of racing development on the car, including two 24hour events with
the ever popular GM LS7 engine. And now with the 2011European race
season being all but over, its time to look back and enjoy what
this year has brought us..
