Aquila - Into the night

As some people might have noticed, this Saturday it is time for another great Britcar race. This time the

Britcar circus is visiting Brands Hatch, where loads of awesome race cars, including the yellow Aquila CR1

known from the 24hour race ad Silverstone, will participate in Britcar into the night.

Britcar into the night, is a 90 min. race that starts in daylight and finishes in the dark, hence the name. The

race is very demanding on both the drivers and the cars, as the completion in the series is always hard. But

the team behind the Aquila CR1, Wessex Vehicles with Dave Lampard is more than ready. Not only have the

team prepared themselves but Nigel Mustil, owner of the car, has once again managed to create a brilliant

driver line up, Rob Huf and Phill Bennet. Both drivers know the car very well, as they both have driven the

car during the 24hour race at Silverstone, resulting in pole position, unbelievable fast lap time and a new

lap record of 1.53.250.

Aquila Racing Cars are confident that this combination of an extremely fast car, great support and an

awesome driver line up, is heading for victory.

Even though the car is fairly new to the Britcar series, the Aquila CR1 have taken part of Britcar into the

night before. Last year a factory car with Danish drivers proved that the car has what it takes. But the car

completion this weekend will be even scarier to the competitors, because it is with the more powerful LS7

engine, and not the 4,0L BMW engine that were used last year.

During the testing up to this race, the drivers has proven that they most definitely got the speed, so we

recommend every one driving around Brands Hatch on Saturday. "Be aware if you see something yellow,

it will be travelling at high speeds, and if you like to see the car close up you might get a chance when the

race is over"

More news about the race will be updated on our webpage www.Aquilaracingcars.com and Facebook site,

as the weekend proceeds.
