Who we are...
is
a Danish racecar manufacturer built from success! Although the
company has only been established since 2003 the key personnel
involved have been racing for decades. With success across Europe
and Scandinavia the enthusiasm within Aquila racing cars comes from
a pure love for motorsport.
Chief designer Anders W. Bonde and General manager Dan Suenson
with their individual organizations decided to team up to construct
a revolutionary Formula Ford that would set new standards in this
'Einsteiger' series. And they did, in 2005 development started by
2006 the first Aquila FZ1 was born winning its first international
races. The Aquila FZ1 won the 2007 Danish Formula Ford championship
with Christian L. Markussen at the wheel. Both drivers finished in
the points every race that season. You can read a lot more about

By 2008 a regulation change in Formula Ford required running
with a Duratec engine, in response the FD1 was quickly developed
and in its first season out dominated the Danish championship with
Fukamoni Racing's Kevin Magnussen fresh from karting. The season
included several victories and lap records.
We love motorsport! Watching the cars, listening to them, making
them go just that bit faster than the others, being part of the
right team, being where speed is at its maximum, feeling the
G-forces pressing us into the seat, the scream of the engine, and
last - but not least - seeing the checkered flag when we reach the
finish line.
It's just like that.
It's not about who has the biggest budget or who can afford the
huge costs that can surround motorsport. Brake pads, engine
re-builds new front shock absorbers, expensive carbon fiber safety
checks and component replacement. It is about going to the track,
enjoying yourself and seeing the checkered flag!
We design our cars as simply as we possibly can. Price to the
client comes only second to how safe our cars are. With innovative
solutions we keep our own costs down and pass those savings on to
the customer. We have the ability to produce our own parts thus
costs come down even further.
Our inspiration was to create a top-level of highly attractive
cars for "gentlemen drivers" and family to enjoy driving a top spec
race car without being mechanics or millionaires. However with our
pedigree we also wanted a race winning car to attract race teams
and drivers. Enter the Aquila CR1 sports GT…
The Aquila CR1 is now the face of Aquila racing cars and many
people refer to it as just "the Aquila." With stunning looks and
big V8's the CR1 is not just the perfect track car but also a
serious race car. Designed to be easy to drive with the lowest
possible center of gravity, this healthy two seater sports GT can
be set up for a new track within 30 minutes. "Loved" is the best
way to describe the CR1 with emails and interest coming to us from
across the globe almost daily.
